The [Recycld] Patchwork Sweatshirt is constructed from overstock sweatshirts purchased from a local manufacturer and unused scrap fabrics. The sweatshirt is dyed by hand, and all patches are sewn on in Los Angeles, CA. The fabric used for the patches will vary on each product sold. This item will be made to order given the complexity to make.
Further details on our current project:
This collection of items is composed of old scraps from previous releases. Why use old scraps? Textile waste occupies 5% of all landfill space, and currently only 15% of post consumer textile waste is reused. Essentially, clothing manufacturers and corporations produce mass amounts of product, which is followed by mass amounts of waste. As we continue to grow, we want to set a precedent to be environmentally conscious at all times. Additionally, the term "scraps" isn't reflective of the quality; please rest assured that all pieces are clean and have been preserved in our facilities.
