Although Kentucky did have graffiti artwork in urban areas, the larger city of Los Angeles inhabits beautiful work in every concrete location. The idea of graffiti greatly impacted Ryan in design of the concept. Believing that the work of paint color deserves more mainstream spotlight that the underpasses allow, Ryan created the samples from actual spray paint. However, to assure longevity of quality, the product sold above is a replica of an original piece made using tactics to mirror the same look. Each one looks individualized from the rest and is constructed from heavyweight fabric to curate a high end quality without sacrificing comfortability.
The “Unxpectd Art” T-Shirt features art created from a statue that’s been in our house since we moved to Los Angeles. The idea of Unxpectd Art is simple, what shouldn’t be, will. Nobody defines art; keep creating! All products featured in this mini-collection are inspired by our earliest work. Color selections and garment designs reflect our beginning stages, but with enhanced techniques we have recently learned. As we continue to prepare for our next big release, we have taken time to develop better processes and techniques; and we want to give you all a taste of what’s to come. We love you all, Live Unxpectd!
The “UNX! Shadow” T-Shirt is made in the USA with domestic textiles, supplies, and labor. Although our shadows typically go unseen, their reach can be much further. The more you put yourself in the light, the bigger your shadow becomes. The more you express yourself, the bigger your impact becomes. Cast big shadows!
The [Reconstructd] T-Shirt has been made specifically to accompany all [Reconstructd] products all while embodying the same traits. In an effort to minimize textile/manufacturing waste, all t-shirts being sold have been purchased out of the overstock of a local manufacturer.
